Hikaru Dorodango, translated into English as "shiny mud dumpling", is a Japanese art process where you take locally harvested soil, form it into a ball, and polish it until it gives off a magnificent shine. See the transition from a useless material to a work of art. Come, discover the therapeutic benefits of touching, molding, and polishing earth.

Try it once, see if you like it. Best for age 11 and up. Your best piece will be trimmed and glazed (clear) and ready for pick up in about 3 weeks. $55
4-WEEK WHEEL CLASSES:
Begins the 1st Wednesday of the month, 7 - 9PM
This class is for people looking to refine their pottery skills or brand-new beginners getting your hands dirty for the first time. Opportunities to practice centering, creating different shapes, trimming and glazing are included. Clay is a mid-fire stoneware, microwave and dishwasher safe. $195

Handbuilding Classes Mondays at 7pm or Saturdays at 10am
Try the Monthly Challenge (Sept: pumpkins, Oct: leaf spoon rests), or follow your own creative muse. Instructions on using slab, coil and pinch pot construction to sculpt with stoneware clay provided. Ceramics will be dishwasher and microwave safe. Please allow 2-3 weeks for glazing and firing. Pieces will be finished with a clear, shiny glaze, or sign up for a glazing session for a custom look. $40 per person. No experience necessary.
Clayground: ages 7+ after school workshop
Tuesdays and Thursdays 4 - 5 pm
Clay, tools, instruction of hand-building techniques and glazing supplies included. Wheels are not available for this workshop.

Offered one Saturday night a month
$94 per couple, includes materials, instruction, mood music, and plenty of sexual innuendos. Couples share a wheel. BYOB.

Practice your art and connect with the earth, two hours at a time. Self-guided at your own pace. Please do not use the wheel without taking a class first (somewhere), as this is not an instruction-focused class.
$45 includes plenty of white mid-fire stoneware clay, tools, firing. One item per session included, $5 per additional piece. Come back free of charge to trim wheel-thrown pieces. Items will be finished with a clear, shiny glaze, or register for a $20 glazing session to customize the finished look.
